NOTE: Nu-Grape was bottled in several Alabama towns in the 1920s, including Oxford. Any info on the Oxford plant is appreciated.
I am collecting any and all manner of items and materials on the Nu-Grape soft-drink brand, prior to 1950, to be included in a "History of Nu-Grape", which I am currently writing.
Obviously, I want signs and bottles and all kinds of advertising items: razors, ink pens & pencils, pocket knives, ice picks, match holders, lighters, clocks and watches. You get the picture........ANYTHING!!!
My list ALSO includes historical facts and data from ANY reliable source, as well as documents of any kind from any Nu-Grape office. Examples would be: Stationary, letters and correspondence, cancelled checks, ledgers, insurance policies, court documents........you name it.
I have lots of newspaper ads and article but could use more.
I especially want information on when where and by whom the Nu-Grape recipe/formula originated,
What happened to the parent company, NU MINT, and bottles and signs (in nice shape).
Please let me know if you have anything I am looking for.
I am also finding connections with Nu-Grape to the brands and people below, so info and items on these are also of interest.
Kickapoo Joy Juice
Sun Crest, 2-Way
MILLION DOLLAR GRAPE
and any Human Fly, or Satanet items.
